About this course
The course introduces the construction of Japanese hanging scrolls alongside woodblock printmaking. Participants follow the stages of producing a black-and-white print, including the use and care of tools, brushes and paper, with the aim of making prints independently after the course. One print is mounted onto paper for attachment to a scroll. Participants also prepare a hanging scroll, attach bars to cloth and use brushes to paste detailed elements during the mounting process.
