Jazz Singing Introduction/Intermediate

About this course

The course develops jazz singing through practical work on vocal technique, practice methods and song structure. Participants sing with other musicians, learn to communicate in a musical setting and work with microphones. Listening to and discussing classic vocalists forms part of the learning, alongside opportunities to perform at college concerts and events. Learners identify individual goals and reflect on their development. Progress is assessed informally through practical class work rather than a formal assessment.
