About this course

Beginners work through introductory projects that familiarise them with commonly used jewellery tools, materials and processes. Learners with previous experience develop personal projects and explore a new specialist technique each term. Teaching combines tutor demonstrations, presentations, group discussions and individual guidance. Participants work at their own pace, setting learning goals with the tutor and receiving technical and critical advice suited to their needs.

What you'll learn

  • Apply new jewellery-making techniques within a technical project
  • Use metals and other materials to produce finished jewellery pieces
  • Select suitable tools, materials and processes for a jewellery-making task
  • Follow health and safety guidance when working in a shared workshop
