Jewellery: Curved Score Folding

About this course

The course introduces curved score folding as a way to create three-dimensional jewellery forms from sheet metal. Participants examine examples and samples before the tutor demonstrates methods for forming curved score wires, scoring metal and folding it around the scored lines. Learning is structured around demonstrations followed by supported practice. Participants make base-metal samples while exploring how folded forms can be developed into jewellery objects.

• A notebook and pen may be useful.
• Sterling silver sheet, 0.5 mm thick, may be brought optionally; the required size depends on the piece being made.
• The studio has lift access.
