About this course
Step-by-step demonstrations introduce enamel preparation, wet packing, kiln firing, cloisonné and texturing techniques. Participants prepare a silver piece, use tools such as gravers, punches and burrs, then apply enamel, cloisonné wires and silver foil. Teaching combines tutor guidance in individual and group settings with discussion, show and tell, and group critique. The course also considers how an enamelled sample could be developed into a finished jewellery item such as a pendant, alongside safe handling and firing practices.
