Jewellery in Recycled Materials Short Course

About this course

Participants investigate ways to join jewellery components without soldering, including gluing, pegging, riveting, stapling and stitching. The course focuses on riveting parts together to create earrings and a pendant, with silver findings incorporated into the finished work. Jewellery hand tools are used in a fully equipped studio, giving participants the opportunity to explore several cold-connection methods. The course results in at least two finished jewellery pieces and an understanding of how these joining techniques can be applied to recycled materials.
