About this course

Participants investigate cast resin and sheet acrylic as jewellery materials, producing pieces through construction and cold-connection methods including gluing, pegging, riveting, stapling and stitching. The course also introduces heat forming for shaping acrylic. Work includes sawing, filing and finishing plastics, then attaching silver findings to complete jewellery. Projects include riveted earrings or a pendant and a heat-formed bangle, with participants producing at least two finished pieces while examining the different characteristics of the materials.
