Jewellery - Level 1 Award in Creative Craft

A beginner jewellery-making course covering metalwork, design development and the production of a finished personal project.
About this course
Participants learn jewellery-making methods through demonstrations, practical tasks, presentations, discussions and formal feedback. Techniques include cutting, drilling, soldering, joining metal and casting, alongside an introduction to specialist materials, tools and equipment. The course combines research into historical and contemporary jewellery artists with the development of an individual project. Participants plan, produce and review a finished jewellery piece, documenting their design process and technical development in written, photographic, digital and non-digital formats. Progress is supported through tutorials, group discussions, targeted tasks and formal assessment.
