About this course
The course concentrates on silver soldering rather than producing a finished piece. Participants work through exercises covering solder preparation, different grades and methods, controlled solder use, hollow forms and multiple joins. Practical demonstrations are combined with samples, discussion and handouts, giving learners opportunities to build a series of examples using varied soldering techniques. Teaching takes place in a group, with individual help available during the exercises. The activities can be adapted to suit different needs and abilities.
