The course traces key developments in London’s Jewish history, including the experiences of a diverse migrant community and its contributions to the city’s cultural and social life. Topics are explored through presentations, maps, images, film clips and extracts from writing.

This introductory course is intended for newcomers to the subject as well as learners with some background knowledge. Participation involves respectful class discussion, collaborative tasks and two guided walks at a moderate pace. A good grasp of English is needed to follow the course.
