About this course

The course develops a new Kathak dance piece through rehearsing set movement arrangements and contributing ideas and movements to the choreography. Participants prepare for solo, duo and group performance, with a public presentation possible at the end of the course. Study may include digital recordings, film and photography, including individual presentation of part of the composition online. Some preparation takes place between classes, such as clapping rhythms, suggesting movements and submitting video clips.

What you'll learn

  • Perform a Kathak dance item when a live performance takes place
  • Recognise and work with the music used in the composition
  • Synchronise part of the composition with music for an online presentation
  • Contribute movement ideas and video material to the choreography

Is this course right for you?
