About this course
The course introduces the eighteenth-century Neapolitan partimento tradition, focusing on Galant schemata and recurring patterns such as the Rule of the Octave, cadences, Romanesca and Quiescenza. Learners apply these materials at the keyboard to harmonise basslines and construct musical ideas.

Is this course right for you?
The course is intended for intermediate learners with good Grade 5 theory or equivalent, including some knowledge of figured bass. Independent-hand keyboard playing is expected. Classes involve demonstrations, individual practice and playing within the group.

- Learners should be able to play the keyboard with independent hands
- The course includes both individual playing and group playing
- Commitment to practice between classes is expected
