About this course

The workshop introduces sashiko, a Japanese hand-quilting technique traditionally used to mend and reinforce fabric. Participants draft a simple geometric pattern, mark it onto fabric and stitch the design using running stitches. The technique can be applied to repairing a small or medium hole, strengthening worn areas such as knees or elbows, or making a decorative textile piece.
