What Beginner (A1) Korean means

At A1 Korean, learners are beginning to use familiar words and simple sentences in predictable everyday situations.

About this course

Learners are introduced to Hangeul, Korean vowels and consonants, basic pronunciation and foundational sentence patterns. The course covers greetings, formal and informal self-introductions, nationalities, occupations, particles, negation and aspects of Korean etiquette. Teaching places particular emphasis on spoken communication through group work and role-plays. The teacher uses Korean throughout, while lessons also include structured grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation practice to develop listening comprehension alongside basic speaking skills.
