What Pre-intermediate (A2+) Korean means

At A2+ Korean, learners can connect simple sentences, give reasons and manage a wider range of familiar situations.

  • Explain a preference

다른 교통수단보다 편하고 이동 중에 책도 읽을 수 있어서 기차 여행을 더 좋아해요.

I prefer travelling by train because it is more comfortable and I can read.

  • Handle a small problem

방이 너무 추워요. 난방을 확인해 주시겠어요?

The room is very cold. Could you check the heating?

  • Describe an experience

작년에 서울을 방문했는데 건축물이 아주 인상적이었어요.

Last year I visited Seoul and found the architecture very impressive.

These are general examples of language use at this level, not a description of any individual course syllabus.

The teacher uses Korean throughout the lessons, while course content may draw on selected chapters from Sejong Korean Conversation 3.

What you'll learn

  • Use banmal in appropriate informal conversations.
  • Arrange and change the time and place of appointments in Korean.
  • Discuss shopping, appointments and household chores using relevant vocabulary.
  • Apply the Korean forms 아무 (noun)나/이나 and -에다(가)/-도/까지.
  • Improve comprehension of spoken Korean through target-language classroom interaction.
