Korean Level 17 | Evenings

About this course

The course develops communication around giving information, discussing tendencies, offering advice and making suggestions. Learners work with Korean grammar structures including 는/은/ㄴ 편이다, 더라고요, 아도/어도/여도 and 지 그래요?, alongside vocabulary relating to advice, concerns and the economy. Teaching combines spoken interaction, group activities and role-plays with systematic work on grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. The teacher uses Korean throughout the lessons, providing listening and comprehension practice. The course also covers travelling in Korea as a socio-cultural topic.

Is this course right for you?

This intermediate course is intended for learners who have studied Korean for some time and are working towards a more advanced level. Previous study equivalent to Korean Level 16 or at least 192 class hours is required. Participation includes group work, role-plays and spoken interaction.

• Content is based on Sejong Korean Conversation Book 3, chapters 13–14, but the coursebook is not required and teachers may use other resources.
