About this course

The course develops Korean communication beyond foundational study, combining spoken interaction with systematic work on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and comprehension. Lessons are conducted in Korean, with group activities and role-plays used to practise communication. Topics include discussing changes in feelings, expressing admiration, explaining facts and describing accomplishments. Learners study structures such as 아/어/여서 가지고, 다 보면, 얼마나 –는지/은지/을지 모르다 and 았/었/였던, alongside vocabulary related to emotions. Course content is based on Sejong Korean Conversation Book 4, chapters 3 and 4, although teachers may use other resources.

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for intermediate learners who have studied Korean extensively and are progressing towards a more advanced level. It requires previous study equivalent to Korean Level 18 or at least 216 class hours. Participation includes group work, role-play and communication conducted in Korean.
