About this course

This course develops everyday Korean through spoken practice alongside structured language study. Learners work in groups and use role-plays to practise making suggestions, introducing people, discussing leisure, family and personal interests, and expressing feelings. Lessons also cover grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and listening comprehension, with the teacher using Korean throughout. Topics include polite and respectful language, honorific vocabulary, abilities and skills, and ways of meeting a romantic partner in Korean society.

What you'll learn

• Make suggestions, express feelings and introduce friends in everyday Korean conversations.
• Discuss leisure activities, family relationships and personal interests.
• Apply structures including V-(으)까요?, ㄷ irregular verbs, demonstratives and A/V-네요.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for Elementary learners who are continuing their Korean studies rather than starting from scratch. The stated entry point is previous study at Korean Level 5 or a course of at least 60 class hours. Participation includes group work, role-plays and spoken communication, with instruction delivered in Korean.
