About this course

The course covers the workflow from image preparation to finished photographic print. Participants use Adobe Photoshop and non-destructive techniques, make basic adjustments, manage colour, produce test prints and compare black-and-white and colour results across different inkjet papers. Teaching also addresses printer software settings and the use of profiles for specialist paper types. Practical sessions give learners the opportunity to print their own images, including on premium papers, while developing an understanding of how paper and ink choices affect the final result.

What you'll learn

  • Apply Photoshop adjustments and non-destructive techniques when preparing photographs for print
  • Organise a colour-managed workflow for photographic printing
  • Produce test prints and finished images on different types of inkjet paper
  • Adjust printer software settings to match the selected paper
  • Load and apply profiles for specialist paper types
