Learning Korean through K-pop Songs

About this course

The course uses selected K-pop songs as a route into Korean language and culture. Learners analyse lyrics, explore the songs’ themes and cultural references, and examine expressions commonly found in Korean music. Teaching centres on spoken interaction and communication, with pair and group work, role plays and games supported by presentations, handouts and audio-visual resources.

The course is designed for learners at all levels, including beginners with no prior knowledge of Korean. Learners with some familiarity with the language may find certain concepts easier to grasp. Participation includes spoken interaction, pair work and group activities.
