About this course

This workshop introduces modern Copperplate calligraphy through pointed-pen and ink work. Learners examine letterform structure, spacing, rhythm and pen pressure, then apply these principles to words, phrases and finished pieces. Teaching combines tutor demonstrations with structured practice, questions and ongoing feedback on exercises and completed work. The course also considers how different tools, inks and papers can be chosen for calligraphy projects, while practice focuses on refining letterforms and composition.
