Level 1: Beginners Improv Course

About this course

The course introduces improvisation through warm-ups, structured exercises and collaborative games. Participants work with the same group each week to explore spontaneity, listening, commitment, “Yes And”, character, support and teamwork. Sessions involve creating stories, scenes and sketches without prepared scripts, with learners contributing as part of an ensemble rather than performing stand-up. The course develops these techniques progressively across the programme, with activities led by a director.
