Level 1 Photography Workshop

About this course

The workshop introduces digital photography through the camera’s core functions and the relationship between aperture, shutter speed and ISO. Participants work with manual and autofocus settings, metering modes, lenses, file formats and resolution, alongside practical projects and theory. Topics include depth of field, focusing methods, motion effects such as freezing, blurring and panning, and picture styles including colour, black and white and sepia. The teaching is weighted towards practice, with technical concepts applied through camera-based exercises.
