About this course

The course examines how networks are designed, managed and secured, alongside core cybersecurity principles, threat intelligence, vulnerabilities and incident response. Learners also study the legislation and ethical conduct relevant to professional practice, and develop project management skills for technical work. Teaching combines tutor-led classroom sessions, practical networking and cybersecurity activities, and guided projects. Assessment takes place through formal assignments for six mandatory units, supported by practical tasks and observed activities that test technical understanding.
