About this course
The course develops ensemble improvisation through listening, agreement, support, commitment and the Yes And principle. Participants explore how to establish locations, relationships and shared activities, using physical actions, entrances, mime and spontaneous character creation. Work on truthful comedy focuses on realistic behaviour in imaginary situations, emotional honesty and drawing on personal experience. Further topics include status, power, character objectives, emotional escalation and finding character through physical and emotional changes.
