About this course

The course focuses on drawing the hands and feet from life, breaking down their complex forms through basic anatomy, proportion, structure and tone. Participants use charcoal and pencil for objective drawing, quick sketches and studies of volume, including foreshortening when depicting the feet. Teaching combines talks, demonstrations, practical exercises, group discussion and one-to-one support. Learners are also encouraged to reflect on their own work and progress during the course.
