About this course

The course introduces flat pattern cutting for a range of lingerie and swimwear styles. Learners work from size 12 lingerie blocks and explore how to adapt them into different garment shapes, openings and strap arrangements. Technical demonstrations cover pattern notation, including grain lines, balance marks, fabric suppression and seam allowances. The course also examines design details such as princess lines, darts, yokes, gathers, lace treatments, appliqué, bias cutting, cups, wires and hardware.
