Lino studio projects

An improver-level lino printmaking course combining semi-independent project work with demonstrations, individual tuition and group discussion.
About this course
Participants develop an individual lino print project from initial ideas and sketches, discussing image creation with the tutor and other learners. Teaching combines demonstrations, equipment guidance, one-to-one tuition and group discussion, while learners work semi-independently on their projects. The course covers mark-making with cutting tools, producing linocuts, using a registration template for multiple-block printing and printing with a relief press. Caustic etching may also be practised where relevant. Learners are encouraged to reflect on their own work and progress during the course.
