Logic Pro: Intermediate

About this course

The course develops intermediate Logic Pro techniques through practical workshops, class discussion, lectures and audio-visual presentations. Participants work on individual projects while learning to shape synthesizer sounds, enhance tracks with audio effects, and control arrangements using automation and MIDI controllers. Sessions also cover Logic’s arpeggiator and other MIDI FX, insert and send effects, and beat programming with the Step Sequencer. Listening assignments and note-taking form part of the class activities.

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for improver-level learners who have completed Logic Beginners or have equivalent experience. Participation combines practical workshops, class discussion, lectures, listening assignments and individual projects. A strong interest in music is expected.

• Basic computer skills and file management are part of the entry requirements
• Some experience using Apple computers is advantageous, with support available during class
• The course may suit learners developing beyond fundamental Logic Pro techniques

• Access to Logic outside class is strongly recommended
• Participants are strongly encouraged to bring earplugs because sessions may involve high volume levels
• Bring a pen and paper for notes
• Bring a USB memory stick to save work
