About this course
Guided walks introduce photographic locations along the River Thames and provide opportunities to make images in varied conditions. Demonstrations and assistance help participants work with aperture, shutter speed, ISO, manual and priority modes, motion blur, depth of field, and natural and artificial ambient light. The course also considers photographic rights and responsibilities when working in public spaces. Teaching combines information about each area with group guidance and individual support.

This intermediate course is intended for learners with knowledge of their camera’s basic manual functions, including aperture, shutter speed and ISO, or those who have completed a beginner photography course. Participation involves guided walks, demonstrations and both group and individual assistance.

Before you go
- Participants should bring a camera.
- Digital and film photography are both welcome.
- A notebook and pen may be useful but are optional.
- Some walks require an Oyster or contactless card for a short tube journey.
