About this course
The course examines how unwanted textiles can be repurposed through mending, fabric trims, quilting, appliqué, patchwork and other embellishment techniques. Learners also explore kantha and Boro, considering how traditional sustainable textile crafts can inform contemporary work. Alongside making, the course covers product development for reclaimed materials, including generating ideas, assessing commercial appeal and introducing basic costing and pricing for handmade goods. Participants will develop a small collection or prototype of textile products.
