About this course

The course develops spoken Mandarin through group activities and role-plays, with the teacher using Mandarin throughout class to provide listening and comprehension practice. This communicative work is combined with structured study of grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation, giving attention to several aspects of language use rather than conversation alone.

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for intermediate learners who have studied Mandarin for a substantial period. Previous study of Mandarin Level 14, or a course totalling at least 168 class hours, is required. Participation includes group work and role-plays, alongside structured language study.
