About this course
The course develops Mandarin for everyday situations including discussing abilities, dates, birthdays and occupations, ordering in restaurants, shopping and talking about prices and currencies. Teaching combines spoken communication with systematic work on grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. Learners practise modal verbs, date and quantity questions, measure words, location expressions and serial verb constructions. Group activities and role-plays provide structured speaking practice, while the teacher uses Mandarin throughout to develop listening and comprehension.
