About this course
The course develops spoken Mandarin through role-plays, group activities and communication practice based on commonly encountered situations. Teaching is conducted in Mandarin, with structured work on pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary and listening comprehension. Course content includes measurement words, asking for directions, describing the size of objects, and explaining the location of people, animals and objects. Learners also work with Hanzi characters, including their strokes and structures, while extending their use of simple sentence patterns.

Is this course right for you?
This course is intended for learners who are already studying Mandarin and have completed Mandarin Level 4 or at least 48 class hours. The Elementary (A2) label indicates a course for learners developing beyond the earliest foundations. Participation includes spoken communication, group work and role-plays.
