About this course
These classes develop spoken Mandarin through group activities and role-plays based on commonly encountered situations. Lessons combine conversational practice with structured work on grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation, while the teacher uses Mandarin throughout to develop comprehension and listening. Course content includes describing feelings, expressing preferences and wishes, making simple comparisons, forming straightforward sentences, and working with Hanzi strokes and structures. Pronunciation and spoken communication are developed within an elementary range.
