About this course
The course develops Mandarin across spoken communication, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and listening. Lessons use group activities and role-plays to practise interaction, while the teacher conducts the class in Mandarin to provide sustained listening and comprehension practice. Alongside communicative work, teaching includes systematic language study. Learners receive access to an online platform containing lesson summaries, notes and resources, as well as Mandarin study advice.

Is this course right for you?
This course is intended for pre-intermediate Mandarin learners who have already studied Mandarin for some time. The stated entry route is completion of Mandarin Level 8 or a course totalling at least 96 class hours. Participation includes group work, role-plays and classroom communication conducted in Mandarin.
