About this course
Learners develop individual or set sculpture projects using metals, wood, found materials, construction methods and cast metals. The course combines demonstrations, observation, individual tuition, question-and-answer sessions, group discussion and feedback. Work in progress may be photographically recorded, while individual learning goals are agreed with the tutor. Projects can involve researching ideas through the work of other artists and extending existing techniques and processes.

Is this course right for you?
The course is intended for learners with some sculpture experience and is labelled Improver, suggesting work beyond fundamental techniques. Drawing and design experience may be useful but is not necessary. Participation includes individual project work alongside demonstrations, tuition, discussion and group feedback.
