About this course

Participants explore metal sculpture through demonstrations, individual tutorials and supervised practice. The course introduces techniques for cutting, shaping and joining metal to metal or fabric, alongside appropriate health and safety procedures. Practical work includes shaping and cutting steel in several ways, MIG welding, and considering how steel can form a three-dimensional artwork. Existing Metal Sculpture students may use the session to develop ongoing projects.
