Mixed media landscapes: experiment with creative techniques

About this course

Participants explore natural and urban landscapes through combined drawing, painting and collage. The course covers layering materials, developing texture, and using colour and mark-making expressively, with studies developed from observation and imagination. Teaching is practice-led, combining demonstrations, guided exercises, references to artists’ work, individual tutor guidance, group discussion and informal feedback. Learners create a series of studies and may develop a more resolved landscape piece that brings together the techniques explored.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for beginners and learners with some experience who want to explore mixed-media approaches to landscape. No previous experience is needed, and teaching includes step-by-step guidance. Participation involves practical studio work alongside group discussion, informal peer feedback and individual tutor support.
