Mixed Media: Still Life

About this course

The course uses still-life displays as the basis for making artwork, with references to historical and contemporary artists informing observation and experimentation. Participants explore how layering can create depth, texture, tone and pattern, using a range of mixed-media processes that may include painting, wax, bleach, glue and mono-printing. The emphasis is on developing finished work through combining and adapting these approaches.
