About this course

Participants rehearse repertoire from the Morley Jazz Orchestra library, including new pieces that may be sight-read when composed or arranged for the ensemble. The orchestra occasionally performs public concerts at Morley College and elsewhere. Tutor feedback is provided during the course, alongside written self-assessments at selected points. Members may also compose or arrange music for the orchestra, with general guidance from the tutor. Teaching takes place in person, with optional background resources available online through Moodle.
