About this course

Participants investigate how texture, colour and composition influence mosaic designs, working with tiles, found materials and varied surfaces. Practical exercises cover cutting, shaping and assembling materials, alongside opportunities to develop an individual project. Teaching combines demonstrations, presentations, guided activities, one-to-one feedback, group discussion and reflection on completed work. The course also introduces approaches informed by artists’ practices and allows learners to test different materials and finishes while creating a piece or samples.
