About this course
The course uses warm-ups, movement games, guided improvisation and technique-based exploration to investigate physical awareness, coordination, articulation and the use of the body in performance. Participants respond to instructions rather than simply copying demonstrations, working independently and with partners or small groups. The course also explores movement as a means of communicating with others and developing characters physically. It builds towards a small show back, which may take the form of a monologue, duologue or scene, with some exploration of set material and movement sequences.
What you'll learn
- Develop physical awareness, articulation and coordination
- Apply simple stretches and movement patterns
- Use movement as a creative language with performance partners
