About this course
The workshop introduces movement practices centred on physical comfort, mental wellbeing and awareness of bodily sensations. Participants take part in guided activities that explore pacing, breath awareness, choice and adapting movement to individual needs. The session also considers how movement may support mobility, posture, tension release and calm, while distinguishing wellbeing-focused approaches from traditional fitness or performance models. Brief reflection and discussion are used to consider changes in body awareness, mood or energy and how these approaches might apply in personal or professional movement settings.
What you'll learn
- Apply at least two wellbeing-focused movement principles, such as pacing, choice or listening to physical sensations, during guided activities.
- Identify and describe a change in body awareness, mood or energy following mindful movement.
- Explain one way movement can support wellbeing and how this differs from traditional fitness or performance approaches.
