About this course
Participants develop an original novel project through practical writing exercises, group discussion and individual feedback. The course covers turning initial ideas into workable story concepts, creating characters and settings, shaping long-form plots, and experimenting with narrative voice and point of view. Teaching combines tutor and peer feedback with workshop activities. Learners may begin with a clear concept or develop one through the course, working towards a clearer story direction and a set of developed scenes or chapters.
