About this course

Participants make painted studies from different models and poses across the course, considering how the human figure relates to colour and space. The emphasis is on observing and developing figure paintings in a studio setting, with opportunities to work from varied arrangements rather than a single fixed pose.

Before you go

• Easels, drawing boards, charcoal, newsprint and masking tape are provided in the studio.
• Participants must bring their own painting materials. A detailed materials list is sent one week before the course.
• The suggested materials include oil or acrylic paints, brushes, palettes, palette knives and prepared canvas, board or primed paper.
• Only Co-co Bello Solvent may be used in the studio; other solvents are not permitted.
