About this course

The course develops classical singing through work on breath control, vocal support, posture, phrasing, tone and expressive delivery. Participants apply these techniques to a varied selection of classical and operatic repertoire, considering how character, emotion and dramatic context influence performance. Teaching takes place in a group setting, with individual and shared singing opportunities and constructive feedback to help refine technique. The course also introduces the stagecraft and performance skills involved in approaching operatic material.
