About this course
The course examines acrylic paint as a fast-drying, water-based medium, including how its properties support layered work on different supports. Participants will explore approaches drawn from selected historical and contemporary painting practices, using glaze and gel mediums where relevant. Teaching combines tutor demonstrations, practical activity, one-to-one guidance and group discussion. Sessions cover brushes and other tools, impasto, glazing, drying times, paint flow and ways to broaden acrylic paint-handling techniques.

Is this course right for you?
The course is intended for beginners as well as improvers developing their acrylic painting skills. No previous painting experience is necessary. Participation includes demonstrations, practical work, individual guidance and group discussion.
