About this course

The course examines how painting and drawing interact as an image develops, with attention to pace, mark-making, sequencing and dynamic composition. Participants explore colour scripting from moving image, including changes in palette emphasis and the use of emotional colour in relation to memory. Practical structured projects include stop-motion drawn animation, supported by presentations on selected artists, group discussion, evaluations and one-to-one guidance.

What you'll learn

  • Apply emotional colour in relation to memory and the timing of an image.
  • Create a stop-frame drawn animation.
