Painting plants and flowers: exploring colour, beauty and natural forms

About this course

Participants will observe and paint simple plants and flowers, experimenting with colour mixing and application to represent natural variation. They will develop a series of studies and a more resolved painting during practical studio sessions. Teaching combines demonstrations, guided exercises and references to artists’ work. Informal assessment is integrated into the activities, with ongoing tutor feedback, group discussion and peer feedback supporting reflection on the work.
